As an “Registered NDIS provider”, SaharaCare understands that we may handle personal and sensitive information that is important to the wellbeing, safety and support of the people we serve.

This Privacy Policy explains how SaharaCare collects, holds, uses, discloses and protects personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Where applicable, SaharaCare also operates in accordance with its obligations as an NDIS provider and the requirements of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (Cth) and applicable NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.

In providing NDIS and support services, SaharaCare may need to collect sensitive information.

  • functional capacity and support needs;

  • sexual orientation or gender identity where relevant and voluntarily provided;
